The program focused on many issues but, mainly the war between the United Sates and Afghanistan. The situation had became even worse than before. Several years later, I watched a program about the “Peace Village” on television. I thought I couldn’t do anything by myself, and from that time I sealed the memory of wars and those children in my mind. But the reality of war was so close for those children in the village. Before that time it seemed that wars were not real to me because I live in a peaceful country like Japan. After hearing about that place I started to become really angry about wars. It was several years ago that I first heard about this institution. The members of this village travel all over the world and pick up children who can not get treatment for sickness or injuries and when they recover they take them back to their own country. They have been delivered and opened our horizons towards this immense world. Although only the title of Unsung Hero that they have, the will not give up to give the students much knowledge so that they will become successors of this nation and become a man of pride for the country and nation. Teacher is one of a very noble profession on earth. So indeed, the teacher is the most important aspect in enhancing one’s civilization in the narrow sense and the nation in a broader sense.
To be smart means that we need to go to school, and when we are in the school, then, we need a teacher to teach us to be someone better. It is because to be a great man, we need to be smart. There, of course, will not be a great teacher without the existing of a great teacher behind him.
There would not be a good doctor without the teacher’s attendance as well. There will not be a great president without the presence of a teacher. We certainly can not deny that the presence of a great man must be because of a great teacher behind her. Without the teachers who educate us, there will be no one educated in this world.
President, government officials, local officials, and many more, are all products that are produced by the teachers. They have been educating the children of this nation to become the potential successors. The motto of the teachers as the unsung heroes is still very relevant until today.
